That sounds like a wonderful experience with Men’s Walk #39! It’s truly heartening to hear about the growth and blessings within the Emmaus community. Transitioning to a new host church is a big decision, and it’s great that Cedar Grove has extended an invitation for consideration.
Please keep the Board and the entire Emmaus community in your thoughts and prayers for guidance and wisdom as we navigate this decision-making process.
The Annual Pond Party at Ludlow Falls on Saturday, August 10th sounds like a fantastic way to come together as a community! It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some outdoor fun and fellowship. I’m sure it will be a memorable event for everyone involved.
It’s wonderful to have regular opportunities for the Emmaus community to come together, share a meal, and enjoy each other’s company. We are still meeting the 2nd Sunday of each month at the Radiant Lighthouse for gatherings beginning at 6pm. Hope to see you all there.
Since we are going to follow God’s lead to finding a Host church, it brings up a need in our community…… BEDS!! In the past, we used inflatable air mattresses. Those were handy but they were also a lot of work. And the years of storage have left them cracked and dry rotted.
They had a tendency to need pumped up quite often. So, we have decided to go with cots. The cots are on Amazon they hold up to 450 pounds, they are collapsible, and have a carrying bag for easy handling. If you are on a team or sponsor a pilgrim you can use one of the cots or you can use your own twin size inflatable mattress, whichever you choose. We are praying that we can purchase 50 cots. The price is actually $48.99 we just rounded the price to an even $50 for easy figuring. By sponsoring a cot, you can pray for those sleeping on your cot during the weekend… (we could number the cots) Say for instance Hank sponsors cot #17. Hank can pray for whoever is sleeping on cot #17 that weekend. If you would like to sponsor a cot more details are in this newsletter.
