I pray you are all having a blessed summer. I wanted to keep you informed of some exciting
updates because our community is continuing to move forward. As for the members of the board, know
that we are praying and seeking to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We are looking forward to the Darke County Area Women’s Walk #55. It will occur on October
31st thru November 3rd of 2024 and held at Cedar Grove Church. Keep in mind that this is a trial run.
We are seeking God to guide us during this weekend by His Grace, to His Church, and beyond.
I would also like to announce that there have been people from the community who have stepped
up for open Board positions: Assistant Community Lay Director (Trisha Feitshans), Agape Chair (Pat
Baker), Newsletter (Jeff Feitshans). Please welcome them as they help our Emmaus Community thrive
and grow.
Don’t forget we are having a pool party at Ludlow Falls on August 10th starting at 4 pm and going until 8 pm.
This is open to those who have not yet experienced the Emmaus Walk, so please bring a dish of food to
share, because, as you know – “When Emmaus meets, Emmaus Eats!” We would love for all to enjoy
some fellowship and food with the Emmaus Family.
Now, if God is “putting someone on your heart,” there is still time to sponsor someone for the next
walk. Remember, the community of Emmaus still needs your hands and feet to do God’s will. As we
move forward, let’s keep our focus on Jesus to build up the family of God. On a side note, there is a need
for agape for the women’s walk. Usually, 70 pieces will suffice to share for both the team and pilgrims. I
am praying because I believe God will show up!!!!
